docx-editor MCP plugin terms of use

Effective date: October 23, 2026

These terms cover the docx-editor MCP plugin from Eigenpal, Inc.

Plugin use

You may use the official plugin in ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude, including for personal and business documents. You need no separate Pro subscription for this permitted plugin use. The MCP app source uses Apache-2.0 under the source license. The proprietary bundled Pro components have additional plugin permission under the Pro plugin permission. Open-source editor components and other dependencies retain their own licenses.

You may not reuse the proprietary Pro components in your own product or service under the plugin permission. Obtain a separate EigenPal Pro License for that use. See DOCX Editor licensing.

This restriction does not remove rights granted by the independent open-source licenses. You may embed the Apache 2.0 editor components in commercial products under their own licenses. You may reuse the Apache-2.0-licensed MCP app source under its license. The complete bundled plugin does not use a single open-source license.

Your documents

You retain your document rights. You may use documents created or edited with the plugin in your business and products. You control the documents you open and the changes you save.

Updates and privacy

Your host may supply plugin updates through its directory. The plugin can show a newer stable release through an optional GitHub metadata check. It does not replace its running editor or upload your documents for that check. Read the privacy policy for request details and the setting that disables update checks.

Warranty and liability

The plugin comes "as is" under the applicable component licenses. Check important documents before you rely on them. Each component's license supplies its warranty and liability terms.
