License and plugin permission

EigenPal Pro permission for the MCP plugin

Scope

Eigenpal, Inc. grants the permission below for its proprietary Pro code in official docx-editor MCP plugin releases. Covered Pro code means the code from @docx-editor.dev/pro included in those releases, including code inside combined bundles. dist/app/build.json records its version, and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md contains its original license notices. Official releases mean packages that Eigenpal publishes or supplies through the ChatGPT, Codex, or Claude distribution channels.

This file grants separate permission for the plugin use described below. For that use, this permission overrides conflicting evaluation-only, production-use, and distribution restrictions in the EigenPal Pro Evaluation License. Other uses require their own applicable license. This permission does not grant rights to Pro packages absent from the official plugin.

The plugin's own source code uses Apache License 2.0 in LICENSE. Open-source editor components retain their Apache 2.0 terms. Other dependencies retain the terms in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. This permission does not restrict rights granted by those open-source licenses. You may reuse the open-source editor components in commercial products under their own licenses. You may reuse the Apache-2.0-licensed MCP app source under LICENSE. These rights do not depend on using an official plugin package.

Permitted use

You receive worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to install and use the covered Pro code within the official plugin. You may use that plugin in ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude. This permission includes personal use and ordinary business use of the plugin within those hosts. You may open, edit, review, and save your documents through the plugin. You need no separate Pro subscription for this permitted plugin use. You may distribute unmodified official plugin packages with their complete license notices. Official plugin updates receive the same permission. Directory operators may copy, scan, package, sign, distribute, and update the official plugin for these hosts. They must preserve the covered Pro code and all applicable license notices.

Your documents remain yours. You may use the documents you create or edit in your business, services, and products.

Restrictions on the Pro components

You may not extract or reuse the covered Pro code in your own product, application, SDK, or hosted service. You may not provide these components as a standalone editor or document automation service. You may not modify or redistribute the proprietary Pro components separately under this permission. Apache License 2.0 for the plugin's own code does not grant these Pro rights. Modifying that source does not grant permission to include Pro code in another product or unofficial distribution.

Ownership and termination

Eigenpal and its licensors retain ownership of the Pro components. This permission does not transfer that ownership or grant trademark rights. Your rights for a distributed version continue while you comply with this permission. If you breach this permission, stop using and distributing the covered Pro components. Rights under independent open-source licenses remain subject to those licenses.

No warranty

The Pro components come "as is", without warranties of merchantability, fitness, title, or noninfringement. To the extent applicable law permits, Eigenpal and its licensors accept no liability for damages from these components.
